Position Summary

Ogletree Deakins has an opportunity for an attorney with 7+ years of labor & employment experience to join the firm to work directly with a specific group of our clients on a variety of employment law matters! This is a flexible opportunity for an attorney to assume the role of a non-shareholder track counsel on a fully remote basis from any location. Qualified candidates MUST be licensed in California

The Counsel attorney will have an emphasis on counseling a specific group of clients on employment-law-related matters, including hiring, leave issues, policies and practices, reasonable accommodations, discipline and discharge, EEO matters, investigations, ADA/FMLA, and wage & hour.  This role will also be responsible for developing and conducting recorded and live webinars on employment-related topics, in addition to handling responses to demand letters, EEOC charges, state FEP agency charges, and handling non-class demand letters or agency complaints alleged for wage and hour matters. This attorney will also draft/revise policies, handbooks, forms, checklists, and other documents for use by these clients.

Benefits

In accordance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the expected salary range for this Colorado position is between $170,000 and $200,000. In accordance with New York City’s Wage Transparency Law, the expected salary range for this New York City position is between $170,000 and $200,000. In accordance with California’s amended labor code as stated in Senate Bill 1162, the expected salary range for this California position is between $170,000 and $200,000. In accordance with the Washington Equal Pay and Opportunities act, the expected salary range for this Washington position is between $170,000 and $200,000.  Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience, geographic location, and other job-related factors as permitted by law. This position qualifies for the benefits below.
