Position Summary

Our Greenville, SC office has an opportunity for an experienced Billing Specialist II to join the firm’s expanding Finance department.  The Billing Specialist II is an advanced billing position. The position is responsible for managing client bills, including working with attorneys on production of the bills through conventional and electronic billing submission to clients.

Essential Functions

  • Collaborate with attorneys and staff to generate, distribute, edit, finalize and submit legal bills via various methods.
  • Resolve billing-related issues from internal and external clients
  • Coordinate with accounting department to address questions/problems related to the billing process
  • Prepare reports and materials necessary to track billings and on items to be billed.


  • 2+ years of Law Firm billing preferred
  • Electronic billing experience preferred
  • Elite or Aderant or similar billing software experience preferred
  • Strong Microsoft Office including Excel and Outlook experience
  • Must have strong technology skills and an ability to leverage technology in work processes.
  • Strong communication skills including the ability to interact with all levels of staff and attorneys
  • Must be customer service oriented with strong problem solving skills
  • Must be detailed oriented with strong planning and organizational skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Ability to work overtime as required
