Senior Database Administrator – Remote

Position Summary

Our Greenville, SC administrative office has an opportunity for an experienced Database Administrator to join the firm’s expanding Technology Department.

The Senior Database Administrator is responsible for leading the design, installation, maintenance, and upgrades of the Firm’s SQL server databases.  The administrator must have significant technical expertise in the use of SQL database technology. The administrator will work closely the SQL Manager, with business unit members, and other IT staff to understand business requirements and ensure that application systems utilizing SQL properly function to meet business needs, delivering value across the organization.  The administrator will work closely with the SQL Manager to ensure daily maintenance, logging, reporting, backups, updates, etc. are handed in a timely and efficient manner.

Senior Database Administrator duties include monitoring and analyzing performance metrics, and allocating database resources to achieve optimum database performance.  Administrator will proactively monitor the database systems to ensure secure services with minimum downtime.  Responsible for supporting and closely following plans and instructions from the SQL Manager in support of all SQL operations delegated to the administrator.  Responsible for assisting in troubleshooting and problem-solving SQL development and runtime issues, improvement and maintenance of all databases, to include rollout and upgrades. Additional duties include working with related process stakeholders to identify and resolve related problems and issues as well as realize efficiencies as a result of process and system improvements.

It is preferred that this position sit in our Greenville, SC office, but will consider remote.

In accordance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the expected salary range for this Colorado position is between $90,000 and $110,000. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law. This position qualifies for the below staff benefits.
