Copy Clerk

Position Summary

Our Indianapolis office has an opportunity for a Copy Clerk to join the firm’s expanding practice. The copy clerk performs a variety of copying/scanning duties with accuracy and attention to detail, supporting legal and non-legal staff members.

Essential Functions

  • Copy documents left in copy bin by staff/attorneys
  • Print/scan documents downloaded from emails, bind if necessary
  • Maintain and operate copy machines, fill paper/toner as needed, troubleshoot copier malfunctions
  • Stock supplies in satellite copy stations
  • Create FedEx labels, track packages
  • Sort and deliver mail along with FedEx/ UPS packages to recipients
  • Bi-monthly inventory of office/kitchen supplies
  • Restock and maintenance of kitchens on daily basis
  • Completion of messenger runs as needed
  • Coordination of package pick-up and delivery through courier services
  • Apply postage using Pitney-Bowes office equipment
  • Manage the fax forwarding inbox
  • Bi-monthly supply orders through multiple vendors
  • Daily organization and cleanliness of the copy center and work space

Requirements

  • High school diploma required, some college preferred
  • 1-3 years of experience in a similar role
  • Computer competency, Outlook, Microsoft Word applications, word processing, spreadsheet, database, records management, time/attendance software programs
  • Superior organizational and analytical skills, time management skills, ability to prioritize, work well under pressure
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
  • Understanding of correct grammar, spelling and punctuation, proofing reading for accuracy with attention to detail
  • Strong client service skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as with a team
  • Knowledge of legal terminology – legal documents and legal processes preferred
  • Ability to lift 35 pounds, comfortable loading /unloading supplies and seminar materials, more standing than sitting
  • Flexibility to work additional hours, as necessary
  • Positive attitude and excellent self-motivation
