Business Immigration Paralegal

Position Summary

We have a unique opportunity for a paralegal to join the Firm’s expanding immigration practice group to support our Raleigh team from Nashville, TN. The paralegal will support a specialized client with immigration matters. This person will be located on site with our client so they will have the best of both worlds. Our client is an asset management retail bank with over 60,000 employees in more than 50 countries. An interest in immigration and ability to work in a fast-paced environment to start their career with an expanding immigration practice group. Duties will include preparation and filing of petitions, nonimmigrant visa applications and immigrant visa applications. Our outstanding paralegals also compile and analyze case facts, draft correspondence, maintain and organize client documentation and have direct contact with employees and client contacts. Successful candidates will have superb writing skills with proven attention-to-detail, specifically impeccable spelling and grammar. Our Immigration Paralegals work under the direct supervision of attorneys and senior paralegals but will be expected to work independently as well. Our paralegals are responsible for informing their team of attorneys and senior paralegals of upcoming deadlines specific to their clients’ immigration cases.

Our Immigration Practice Group consists of experienced and dedicated immigration lawyers who work with domestic and international corporations and businesses in developing appropriate strategies to facilitate the international transfer of skilled employees.


  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university, or a paralegal certificate from an ABA approved program, is preferred but not required.
  • Employment-based immigration paralegal experience is preferred but not required.
  • Strong proficiency with MS Word, Outlook, INS Zoom, and a document management system.
  • Successful candidates will possess strong writing skills, have excellent attention to detail, be able to multi-task and work independently toward team goals.
  • Outstanding case/project management and organizational skills are required.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively and work well in a team environment.
