Position Summary

Our Torrance office has a unique opportunity for an Office Administrator/Practice Assistant to join their office to manage most operations of the assigned office as well as work under the direction of attorneys and paralegals. The Office Administrator/Practice Assistant, along with the Managing Shareholder, is responsible for the business administration of the local office, including all support functions and non-attorney staff coordination.

With support from the Firm’s administrative support teams, this position will manage most of the local operations of the assigned office, including human resources, financial planning and controls, marketing and event planning, information systems, and other tasks.  On a day-to-day basis, this individual also works under the direction of attorneys and paralegals to which the practice assistant is assigned. In that capacity, under general supervision, this individual supports the delivery of quality legal services to clients by providing secretarial and administrative assistance to attorneys, performing complex and specialized secretarial and clerical tasks, and working collaboratively and cooperatively with others in a team-oriented environment. This position supports multiple attorneys as primary assignments and provides back-up secretarial assistance to other attorneys as assigned.
