A host of new California employment-related laws will take effect in January 2024. In this month’s webinar, Charles and Leslie will address frequently-asked questions about the new laws, particularly those about the new paid sick leave and noncompete laws. They will also discuss the new health care minimum wage law, the EEOC’s workplace harassment guidance and its California impact, as well as how the new federal Pregnancy Workers Fairness Act will impact California employers’ pregnancy disability leave policies and practices. Leslie and Charles will review several recent harassment and wrongful termination cases as well. West Coast Immigration Practice Group Chair Yvonne Toy will join the discussion to address the approaching new immigration requirements.
