OSHA regulations mandate safe operating procedures for employers that service multi-piece and single-piece rim truck and trailer wheels. To facilitate compliance, OSHA has provided, since 1984, recommendations for “Demounting and Mounting Procedures for Truck/Bus Tires” including a “Multi-Piece Rim Matching Chart.” These materials have now been updated, clarified and made more user-friendly with information from the Tire Industry Association. Specific materials include:
- Servicing Multi-Piece and Single-Piece Rim Wheels Manual
- Demounting and Mounting Procedures for Tubeless Truck and Bus Tires
- Demounting and Mounting Procedures for Tube-Type Truck and Bus Tires
- Multi-Piece Rim Matching Chart
