Jackie is the former Office Managing Shareholder of the Portland, Oregon office, a position she held from 2018 to 2022. With 30 years of experience, Jackie focuses her practice on all aspects of traditional labor law, including representing both public and private sector employers in collective bargaining negotiations, labor arbitrations, NLRB proceedings, Employment Relations Board proceedings, and union organizing campaigns. She also has developed a significant practice in preventive labor and employment law, which includes advising clients on labor contract administration, grievances, union avoidance, leave law issues, employment discrimination, and personnel policies and procedures.

Jackie’s traditional labor experience includes:

  • Representing employers in negotiating more than 175 collective bargaining agreements in many different industries, including electric utilities, ship repair, healthcare, grain export, food processing, distribution, public safety, public works, and emergency response.  Jackie currently negotiates between 10 and 15 different collective bargaining agreements per year for employers located in Oregon, Washington, and Idaho.
  • Handling more than 100 labor arbitrations involving significant contract interpretation and discipline issues
  • Representing employers in myriad investigations and hearings before the NLRB
  • Advising employers dealing with picketing, strikes, and lockouts, and she regularly advises employers on the labor relations aspects of strategic business planning and business strategies
