Adam is a shareholder in the Portland office of Ogletree Deakins. He developed an interest in labor and employment law while completing an externship with the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) during law school.
Adam enjoys helping clients navigate complicated labor issues and arrive at a plan for workable labor-management relations. He represents both public and private sector employers in collective bargaining negotiations, Employment Relations Board (ERB) proceedings, NLRB proceedings and labor arbitrations. He also possesses extensive experience defending employers before the Bureau of Labor and Industries and the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. He has successfully represented numerous public sector clients in interest arbitration cases.
Adam partners closely with his clients to help them avoid trouble, offering ongoing preventative labor and employment law advice. He advises on labor contract administration, union organizing campaigns, employment discrimination and personnel policies and procedures.
Dedicated to helping labor relations and human resources representatives, as well as the next generation of lawyers, Adam trains often and frequently presents on labor and employment issues. Adam is one of the four overall editors of the Oregon State Bar Continuing Legal Education manual on Labor and Employment Law (Public Sector) and is a contributing editors to The Developing Labor Law.
In his free time, Adam enjoys running, spending time with his family and volunteering in the community.
