Alyssa Riggins is an associate in the Raleigh office and provides counsel to and represents employers in all types of labor and employment matters. Alyssa has represented clients before the EEOC, State and Federal Courts, and in Arbitrations on matters of employment discrimination, wrongful discharge, and other state and federal laws. She assists clients in drafting policies and procedures, and harassment prevention practices. Alyssa also regularly advises employers on RIF matters, including ADEA, OWBPA, and WARN issues.
Alyssa previously worked as a summer clerk in the Raleigh office, and was a law clerk for the North Carolina Department of Justice in the Consumer Protection Division. Alyssa graduated from North Carolina State University with a degree in History. She then graduated from the William and Mary School of Law where she was an Election law research fellow and a member of the William and Mary Journal for Women and the Law.
