Andrea Johnson represents employers in all areas of federal and state employment law, including discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage and hour, class and collective actions, and litigation under California’s Private Attorneys General Act (PAGA). Andrea litigates Title VII, ADA, ADEA, FMLA, FLSA, and related state law claims under the Pennsylvania Human Relations Act, the California Fair Employment and Housing Act, Michigan’s Elliott-Larsen Civil Rights Act, and the California Labor Code. She practices in federal and state court, as well as before administrative agencies tasked with enforcing employment laws.
A native of West Virginia, Andrea graduated summa cum laude and Order of the Coif from the West Virginia University College of Law, where she served as a member and Executive Editor of the West Virginia Law Review, the fourth oldest law review in the country. After graduation, Andrea relocated to Detroit, Michigan to serve as a federal law clerk to the Honorable Victoria A. Roberts in the Eastern District of Michigan. Andrea practiced employment law for several years in Detroit before relocating to Pittsburgh. Prior to joining Ogletree’s Pittsburgh office, Andrea practiced employment law at an international law firm.
