April’s practice focuses on representing and counseling employers on a variety of issues relative to both state and federal laws. April has litigated federal claims brought pursuant to Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, the Family and Medical Leave Act, Age Discrimination in Employment Act and the Americans with Disabilities Act, as well as pendant state law claims pertaining to the Pennsylvania Human Relations Act. April represents employers in all aspects of labor and employment law in both state and federal court as well as administrative agencies.
April received her J.D. from Whittier Law School, where she was a member of the Trial Advocacy Team and participated on the Whittier Law Journal of Child & Family Advocacy, one of the few law school publications in the country that focuses exclusively on child and family issues.
Prior to joining Ogletree Deakins, April practiced at a regional Pittsburgh firm with a focus on professional liability.
