A.J. Rodriguez is a labor and employment attorney with experience representing both employers and individuals in all matters arising out of the employment relationship, including claims arising under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Family and Medical Leave Act, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, the Fair Labor Standards Act, and various related state employment laws.
Prior to joining Ogletree Deakins, Mr. Rodriguez worked for a Texas-based labor and employment law firm where he handled individual and collective action litigation in State and Federal courts. Mr. Rodriguez’ experience includes drafting and arguing dispositive motions in state and federal court, taking and defending depositions, negotiating and mediating cases, and preparing cases for trial and arbitration.
In addition to litigation, Mr. Rodriguez also reviews and drafts employee handbooks and other policies and procedures, employment and independent contractor agreements, non-competition, non-solicitation, and non-disclosure agreements, and severance agreements. Mr. Rodriguez is also fluent in Spanish and can assist with any Spanish-fluency legal needs.
