Mr. Thomas has extensive experience in employment-based immigration law and manages the Denver office’s immigration practice. He advises and represents companies in the preparation of employment-based nonimmigrant petitions (e.g., B, E, H, L, O, P, R, and TN petitions), labor certification (PERM) applications, immigrant petitions (all preference categories), and adjustment of status and consular processing applications.
He represents companies undergoing immigration-related investigations, including I-9 audits, public access file reviews, SEVIS evaluations, onsite inspections, and a variety of other government probes. In addition, to prepare companies for the possibility of such government activity, he helps them in their efforts to establish successful compliance programs.
He also represents companies in developing effective international mobility policies, helping them to secure appropriate work visas for outbound workers (e.g., transferring employees from a U.S. facility to work on a project in China, etc.) and assisting them in establishing compliance programs on a global basis.
In addition, he assists individuals with family-based petitions and naturalization applications.
