Colleen Heckman represents employers in a wide range of employment matters. She regularly defends employers in litigation in state and federal court, as well as before administrative agencies. Colleen has experience representing clients in various matters, including claims related to discrimination, wrongful termination, harassment, retaliation, whistleblowing, disability and leave matters, as well as and wage and hour matters.
In addition to defending employers when litigation arises, Colleen also routinely provides advice and counseling to employers on day-to-day employment matters to assist employers with legal compliance and in an effort to minimize potential liability. Colleen also conducts workplace investigations for clients who receive internal employee complaints and provides employment-related training to management employees, human resources professionals, and staff.
Prior to joining Ogletree Deakins, Colleen worked at a national labor and employment law firm.
