David Feingold is an Associate in the Minneapolis office of Ogletree Deakins. He focuses his practice in the area of class action wage-and-hour litigation, where he has assisted in defending and obtaining favorable outcomes in cases involving classes of hundreds to tens of thousands of class members. David also has defended employers in single-plaintiff matters involving wage issues, and discrimination, harassment, and retaliation claims. In addition to handling cases in various California federal and state courts, he has represented employers at the administrative level, including before the EEOC, California Department of Fair Employment and Housing, California Department of Industrial Relations, and California Division of Labor Standards Enforcement.
Since moving to Minnesota David has gained experience working with local laws and courts. In particular, David has enjoyed developing his knowledge base with claims brought in both state and federal court under the Minnesota Human Rights Act, as well as non-compete matters that are all-but-non-existent in California. Still continuing his California practice, David looks forward to honing his multi-state skills to better serve the firm’s clients.
David also regularly advises clients in wage and hour matters and employment best-practice issues across a variety of industries, including hospitality, healthcare, and trucking.
David graduated cum laude with his J.D. from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law. While at Cardozo, David served as an editor for the Cardozo Journal of Law and Gender. Prior to attending Cardozo, David graduated summa cum laude with a B.A. in History from Brandeis University, where he also captained the school’s club ice hockey team.
