Ebony Reid represents employers in litigation matters concerning the ADA, ADEA, FLSA, FMLA, Title VII, and Section 1981 statutes, with particular experience in the healthcare, manufacturing , and financial industries. She also represents employers in matters involving state discrimination laws, wage claims, non-competition agreements, and complex employment contract disputes. Ebony has extensive experience with arbitrating claims and practicing before administrative agencies. She also conducts audits to analyze compliance with the Fair Labor Standards Act.
Ebony has developed and presented employment training seminars for employers and professional associations in various industries, concerning discrimination laws, leave issues, and accommodations under the ADA. In addition, she provides employment advice and counsel to in-house counsel, human resource professionals, and management employees, regarding human resource issues, employee handbooks, policies, employment best practices, and severance agreements.
Ebony earned her bachelor’s degree from Howard University and her J.D. from the University of Illinois College of Law. While attending law school, she received honors distinctions in legal writing and legal advocacy. Ebony served as President of the University of Illinois Black Law Students Association.
