Ellen Perlioni is the deputy chair of a team serving as national coordinating counsel for the Boy Scouts of America. Ms. Perlioni coordinates litigation nationally and internationally, working with various BSA chartered local Councils and local counsel to support the BSA movement.
Ms. Perlioni has over twenty years of experience practicing litigation and labor and employment law, including sub-practice initiatives for individual employment litigation, ERISA litigation, systemic litigation, workforce change (RIFs) and OSHA. She has represented employers in numerous cases in state and federal court, as well as arbitrations and administrative hearings and trials, including the defense of complex employment law and ERISA class actions, and all aspects of employment claims, including discrimination, harassment, retaliation, disability accommodations, leave-related claims, USERRA and whistleblower claims. Ms. Perlioni has represented employers in claims pursued by and in state and federal agencies, including the Texas Workforce Commission, Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, and the Department of Labor and its division of Occupational Safety & Health. She also negotiates and drafts employment contracts and policies, and provides advice and counseling regarding all aspects of employment issues faced by management, and conducts preventative training in employment laws.
