Erica Chee represents employers in a broad area of matters.  She regularly represents employers in traditional labor law issues, including advising and representing management in bargaining unit issues, labor agreement administration and unfair labor practice proceedings before the National Labor Relations. Additionally, she represents clients in grievance and arbitration proceedings.  Beyond her traditional labor practice, Ms. Chee handles civil employment matters in federal and state courts, as well as before various administrative agencies, including the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and the Nevada Labor Commissioner.  Her practice includes representing employers in claims of discrimination, sexual harassment, retaliation, wrongful discharge, failure to accommodate, and wage and hour violations.

Ms. Chee provides advice and counsel on a wide spectrum of workplace issues, including employee leave, disability accommodation, layoffs, and compliance with state and federal laws.  She conducts internal investigations, drafts and reviews employee policies and handbooks, and prepares employee agreements and forms, such as non-compete agreements and severance agreements. She also conducts training sessions on various employment matters, including discrimination, harassment, retaliation, employment policies and procedures, leaves of absence, requests for accommodations, medical information in the workplace, wage and hour issues, discipline, documentation, termination and best practices for employers.

Prior to joining Ogletree Deakins, Erica worked as a labor and employment attorney at a national law firm and as a civil litigator focusing on hospitality and aviation with a national law firm.

Represented and counseled corporate clients and not-for-profit organizations, advising employers across a range of industries on litigation avoidance, workplace policies, and compliance issues. Has courtroom experience, representing clients in both federal and state courts, and before various administrative agencies. Represented – clients in a variety of industries in grievance and arbitration proceedings.  She conducts internal investigations of workplace improprieties, including sexual harassment, discrimination and ethics violations in accordance with state and local laws. In addition, she presents seminars and training programs for clients and organizations on a variety of employment related topics. Ms. Chee drafts employment contracts, severance agreements and settlement agreements, and she advises clients on all aspects of the employment process including hiring, discipline, and terminations.
