Associate Austin

Federico Muñoz joined the Austin office of Ogletree in October 2016 as an Associate. His practice focuses on a full range of corporate immigration matters for employers in a variety of industries. He assists companies in securing employment visas on behalf of foreign national workers in the U.S. He has worked directly with candidates, recruiters, employees, managers, and in-house immigration counsel to prepare appropriate immigration cases. He has extensive experience preparing and filing nonimmigrant and immigrant petitions with USCIS. He has obtained nonimmigrant classifications for specialty occupation workers, aliens of extraordinary ability in the arts and sciences, intracompany transferees, and NAFTA professional workers. He actively identifies USCIS and Department of Labor trends and strategizes cases accordingly. He also has counseled clients in immigration program management and regulatory compliance. In addition, he has assessed the effect of mergers, acquisitions, and corporate reorganizations on the company’s foreign national workforce.
