Fontaine Yuk’s extensive labor and employment experience includes defending employers against claims of wrongful termination, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and wage and hour violations in California and Federal Courts, as well as arbitration proceedings.  Ms. Yuk also counsels employers on workplace policies and procedures and advises companies on compliance with the ever-changing interpretations of applicable state and federal laws and regulation. 


  • Represented employers in a wide variety of industries, including healthcare, automotive, manufacturing, retail, management, and real estate. 
  • Obtained dismissal of complaint alleging causes of action for fraud and other claims under California’s anti-SLAPP statute and an award of attorneys’ fees and costs.
  • Deposed various plaintiffs in disability discrimination and wrongful termination cases filed against automotive dealerships.
  • Defended nationwide management company against class action involving alleged meal and rest break violations. 
  • Obtained successful early resolution of claims against an automobile dealership of violations of the Americans with Disabilities Act.
  • Successfully opposed a motion for sanctions and obtained an award of attorney’s fees and costs.
  • Advised clients on a variety of issues including wage and hour compliance, employee discipline and termination, internal investigations, and litigation avoidance.
