Jamey E. Petri joined the Austin office of Ogletree in February 2013 as an associate in the Immigration Practice Group. She has procured immigrant and non-immigrant visas in employment and family-based preference categories. She has extensive experience with immigrant preference petitions for individuals of extraordinary ability in the arts and sciences, outstanding researchers and multinational managers. Jamey also has a wealth of experience filing PERM labor certification applications with the U.S. Department of Labor and has successfully argued appeals with the Board of Alien Labor Certification Appeals (BALCA) tribunal. She has experience in a wide range of non-immigrant visa petitions, including specialty occupation (H-1B and E-3), treaty investors (E-2), individuals of extraordinary ability in business and athletics (O-1), intra-company transfers (L-1A and L-1B), trade NAFTA (TN) and internationally recognized athletes and their essential support personnel (P-1 and P-1S). Jamey has also represented individual clients at naturalization interviews.

Jamey has represented a wide variety petitioners and applicants in immigration-related matters including individuals, small businesses, professional athletes, professional sports teams, leagues and associations and multinational conglomerates. She has experience representing Fortune 500 corporations in the telecommunications, engineering and computer software fields.
