Janna obtained her undergraduate degree in Legal Studies from the University of California, Berkeley, J.D. from the University of Texas at Austin, and LL.M. in International Business Law from l’Université Jean Moulin Lyon 3 in France.
Janna started her legal career serving as a policy writer in support of the U.S. Department of Defense. Policies she drafted traveled through parliament and went into effect, serving as the foundation of a significant bilateral agreement between the U.S. and the foreign nation. After working overseas, she returned to her hometown of San Diego and established her own firm. A passion for employment-related matters developed and she has focused exclusively on employment law matters ever since.
Janna has significant litigation skills, including experience managing single plaintiff as well as complex cases. She works extensively in wage-hour class action litigation, representative wage-hour litigation under the Private Attorneys General Act (PAGA), and preventative counseling.
Janna is an active leader in the legal community, having served first as a member, then as Vice Chair, of the San Diego County Bar Association’s Civil Litigation Executive Committee from 2016-2018. She also volunteers with San Diego Christian Legal Aid.
