Jennifer Rygiel-Boyd

Jennifer Rygiel-Boyd is Of Counsel to the firm where her practice focuses on the defense of cases involving allegations of wrongful discharge, employment discrimination, sexual harassment, retaliation, breach of contract and other statutory and common law claims.  Ms. Rygiel-Boyd also prosecutes cases involving breach of restrictive covenants, breach of loyalty and misappropriation of confidential information and trade secrets.  She regularly litigates in both state and federal courts, as well as before the various governmental administrative agencies.

In addition to her litigation practice, Ms. Rygiel-Boyd counsels employers on various employment issues they face each day, including wage and hour issues, medical and disability issues, privacy concerns, and all forms of workplace polices.  She negotiates and drafts employee-related agreements, including separation and release agreements, and confidentiality agreements—all with an eye toward providing her clients the business result they seek, coupled with the strongest legal protections possible.

After law school, Ms. Rygiel-Boyd served as a law clerk for the Honorable Anthony J. Iuliani, J.S.C. of the Superior Court of New Jersey.  Prior to joining Ogletree, Ms. Rygiel-Boyd was an associate at a well-known New Jersey labor and employment boutique law firm.

Additionally, Ms. Rygiel-Boyd has trial experience including a five-week jury trial on behalf of a large real estate company in a lawsuit against a competitor and a former manager resulting in a jury verdict in favor of the firm’s client on unfair competition and breach of duty of loyalty claims, and a large wage and hour case brought by the California Labor Commissioner’s Office on behalf of 63 claimants.
