Mr. Daniel has extensive legal and professional experience in the areas of employee benefits and related taxation matters. More specifically, Mr. Daniel’s practice includes representation in the areas of qualified retirement plans, welfare benefit plans, fringe benefit plans, multiemployer plans, executive and nonqualified deferred compensation. Mr. Daniel also represents clients in employee benefits claims under the Employee Retirement Income Security Act of 1974 (ERISA). He is certified as a specialist in taxation law by the South Carolina Supreme Court. He served on the South Carolina Supreme Court Tax Law Specialization Advisory Board (Chair 2005-2009).
In addition to his experience as an attorney, Mr. Daniel has practiced accounting and is a Certified Public Accountant. He is a frequent speaker to professional groups on employee benefit matters.
