Jonathan Wilson is a nationally recognized labor and employment lawyer. He serves as a co-chair of the firm’s Mergers and Acquisitions Practice Group. He represents hospitality, retail, private equity, and other service industry clients in class and collective action wage and hour cases; litigation involving allegations of discrimination, harassment, and retaliation; leave of absence disputes; non-competition litigation; False Claim Act lawsuits; and traditional labor relations matters such as collective bargaining, union organizing campaigns, and unfair labor practice charges.

He has successfully defended employers and senior executives in lawsuits alleging wage hour, sexual harassment, defamation, discrimination, and ADA and FMLA violations, and has defended and prosecuted claims involving confidentiality agreements, non-competition obligations, and fiduciary obligations. Jonathan has secured injunctive relief against union work stoppages and employee slowdowns in violation of collective bargaining agreements, and represented companies in nationwide strikes and unfair labor practice charges.

In addition to defending clients across the country, Jonathan regularly advises companies regarding compensation practices and proactive measures to minimize the risk of liability under state and federal wage-hour laws. Jonathan is a trusted advisor to Corporate Board of Directors, Private Equity Funds, and C-Suite executives on significant corporate matters ranging from advice on complex litigation, due diligence, acquisitions, development of plans for successful integration of operations, preparation of executive agreements, strategic planning on reorganizations, and implementation of reductions in-force.

He is Board Certified in Labor and Employment Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization and has been recognized by Best Lawyers in America and Chambers USA in labor and employment law and in 2011 was inducted as a Fellow in the College of Labor and Employment Lawyers. His experience encompasses a wide range of industries including restaurant, hospitality, manufacturing and defense, retail, private equity, hospitality, healthcare, and transportation.
