Julia M. Garrett practices primarily in the areas of employment litigation and compliance. She has represented clients on a diverse range of matters, including wage and hour claims under the federal Fair Labor Standards Act, discrimination claims under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, and Title III of the Americans with Disabilities Act, claims of harassment and retaliation, and related state law claims. She also defends clients before governmental administrative agencies, including the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC).
Julia is fluent in Spanish. Prior to joining Ogletree, she practiced all variety of immigration law, including employment-based immigration. She now assists clients with conducting internal investigations and interviews involving Spanish-speaking employees.
