Karine Audouze

Managing Partner Paris

Karine Audouze is the Managing Partner of the Ogletree Deakins Paris office.  Karine advises clients on hiring / terminating senior executives, redundancies, international employee transfers and employment issues as part of sale and merger deals.  Karine acts mostly for international groups with a presence in France with a particular focus on the TMT sector. She also handles individual and collective employment litigation.

Karine is Secretary of the Discrimination and Equality Law Committee of the IBA (International Bar Association) and presents at international conferences and seminars on a wide range of employment law topics.  Karine lectures annually on employment law at the University of Montpellier.

Prior to joining the firm in 2017, Karine was a partner for numerous years at law firms Olswang, Hoche and Falque & Associés and earlier in her career spent 8 years as an associate in the New York and Paris offices of Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton.

Karine is trilingual in French, English and German.


Experience

  • Advising a major television broadcaster and production company on numerous employment law issues in France including highly sensitive senior management exits and on the employment law aspects of a number of contemplated acquisitions in France.
  • Advised a number of tech and media companies on working time issues and negotiated collective agreements.
  • Advised two major telecom companies in the set-up of a joint venture in France.
  • Acted as strategic partner in resolving a number of issues arising from the merger of two of the world’s largest organizations in the media sector.
