Kelsey earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, with a major in finance and a minor in Spanish, graduating magna cum laude from Creighton University. She was also a Division I tennis player at Creighton, where she was named team captain. Kelsey received both athletic and academic scholarships.
Kelsey earned her J.D. from the University of Wisconsin Law School in May of 2015. During law school, Kelsey was a member of the Dean's list, a member of the senior board of the Wisconsin International Law Journal, and the president of the Student Animal Legal Defense Fund. In addition, she gained valuable experience clerking at the Wisconsin Supreme Court for the Honorable N. Patrick Crooks and working as a clinical immigration attorney.
