Kendra Thornton is Counsel in the Greenville office and has practiced employment law as an attorney or human resources leader since 2003. Kendra graduated from Clemson University, receiving her Bachelor of Arts in Speech and Communication Studies, and her Masters in Human Resource Development. Kendra graduated from the University of South Carolina School of Law, where she was a member of the Real Property, Probate, and Trust Journal.
Over the last 10 years, Kendra has served as a senior HR business executive and legal counsel for two publicly held, multibillion-dollar corporations ensuring legal compliance across all areas of human resource operations. Most recently, Kendra was Vice President of Employee Relations and Regulatory Compliance directing compliance initiatives, external audits and the investigation of complaints, ensuring optimal defensibility and risk mitigation in support of 90,000 employees across the United States. Prior to working in house, Kendra was a labor and employment lawyer with Ogletree Deakins’ Charlotte office, and another Charlotte law firm.
