Marissa Hurwitz Alguire

Marissa Alguire represents employers in all areas of employment related litigation, including harassment, discrimination, retaliation, wrongful termination, wage and hour and misappropriation of trade secrets.  Marissa represents employers in single plaintiff and class action litigation in both state and federal courts, as well as in arbitration and administrative hearings.  Marissa also assists clients with workplace investigations, and counseling on various topics including discharge and discipline, accommodation requirements, and employment agreements. Marissa is fluent in Spanish.


Experience

Marissa has assisted with obtaining summary judgment and reaching favorable settlements for large and small employers.  Marissa has also represented employers in the financial, entertainment and restaurant industries, where she has been successful in dismissing claims and helping achieve advantageous relief for fraud, self-dealing, breach of fiduciary duty and misappropriation of trade secrets.  Marissa also creates and presents AB 1825 sexual harassment and other management training seminars.
