Mike represents employers and business owners in employment disputes, including class actions and representative actions under the Fair Labor Standards Act and California’s Private Attorneys General Act. Beyond labor and employment, he has a wealth of experience in litigation involving contracts, commercial and residential real estate disputes, partnership disputes, and general business litigation. He has successfully handled claims involving breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty, misappropriation of trade secrets, fraud, wrongful termination, harassment and discrimination, retaliation, Title III disability access, and much more.
Mike has argued numerous cases in state and federal court all over California, and has briefed several issues to the California Court of Appeals. Prior to joining the firm, Mike primarily represented high net-worth individuals and their companies, which taught him much about the often misunderstood “boss’s” side of the story. He represented both plaintiffs and defendants in about the same proportion prior to joining Ogletree Deakins and has a unique understanding of the strategies each side often employs.
