R. Allison Phinney

R. Allison (“Al”) Phinney, is of counsel in the Greenville, South Carolina office of Ogletree Deakins.  He received his J.D. degree from the University of South Carolina School of Law in 1979 and an LL.M. degree in Labor Law from the George Washington University Law School in 1985.  Before entering private practice, Mr. Phinney served as a law clerk to United States District Judge Clyde H. Hamilton.  His past work experience also includes serving as a legislative counsel to the United States Senate Judiciary Committee and Veterans Affairs Committee and the South Carolina Senate Transportation Committee.

Mr. Phinney is listed in The Best Lawyers in America, and has also been recognized as a South Carolina Super Lawyer.   Mr. Phinney has been certified by the South Carolina Supreme Court as a specialist in Labor and Employment Law.
