Rabia Z. Reed

Associate || Sacramento

Rabia is a passionate employment law associate in the Sacramento office of Ogletree Deakins.  Her practice is focused on employment litigation, with a particular focus on wage and hour class and collective actions involving meal break, rest break, misclassification, overtime, and off the clock work.  Rabia also enjoys defending class and collective actions which involve the Fair Credit Reporting Act (“FCRA”).

In addition, Rabia provides proactive representation in a range of discrimination cases.  Rabia has worked across a large variety of industries including transportation, staffing, retail, food service, manufacturing, construction, and hospitality.  Alongside her litigation practice, Rabia has good experience representing clients in front of administration agencies, including the Department of Fair Employment and Housing (DFEH) and Division of Labor Standards Enforcement (DLSE).

Prior to joining Ogletree Deakins, Rabia worked in both a local mid-size Sacramento firm, as well as a large, international labor and employment law firm.

Rabia is engaged in the local legal community.  She works as a lecturer at the UC Davis School of Law where she currently teaches “Problem Solving & Analysis.” In prior years, she has lectured in “Analytical & Persuasive Writing.”  She is an active participant in, and former board member of, the South Asian Bar Association of Sacramento.  Rabia is fluent in Norwegian, and has working proficiency in Danish and Swedish.
