Russell T. Rendall

Counsel Cleveland

Russell Rendall represents employers in all areas of labor and employment law, and his experience includes representation of management in employment litigation as well as in traditional labor matters. In addition to employment litigation, he advises and counsels employers on compliance with workplace laws and regulations.

Mr. Rendall defends companies with respect to employment-related claims and charges before state and federal courts and administrative agencies, including the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the National Labor Relations Board, the Ohio Civil Rights Commission, and the Ohio State Employment Relations Board. His experience and expertise includes Title VII, Ohio Civil Rights Act, Family and Medical Leave Act, Americans with Disabilities Act, National Labor Relations Act, and state laws governing Ohio public employees.


Mr. Rendall’s litigation and counseling experience includes the following:

  • Involvement in all phases of employment litigation
  • Drafting position statements to administrative agencies for companies facing charges of discrimination, retaliation, and harassment
  • Drafting motions for summary judgment in employment discrimination cases
  • Providing legal analysis related to the collective bargaining process for Ohio public employers
  • Providing advice and counsel regarding FMLA compliance
  • Drafting and revising employee handbooks and policies
  • Developing multi-state surveys regarding key employment laws for employers
  • Drafting and revising policies for educational institutions to ensure Title IX compliance
