Tanner Webber is an associate with the Portland, Oregon office of Ogletree Deakins. He is a member of the firm’s Employment Law practice group.
Tanner has represented employers in a wide range of employment matters, including cases involving allegations of discrimination, retaliation, and wrongful termination. He has defended employers in federal and state courts, as well as administrative proceedings before BOLI and the EEOC.
Prior to joining the firm, Tanner spent fifteen years at the U.S. District Court for the District of Oregon. He served as the career law clerk to the Honorable Stacie F. Beckerman, a term law clerk to the late Honorable Dennis J. Hubel, and an extern to the Honorable John V. Acosta. During his clerkships, he managed active dockets of up to eighty civil cases and drafted more than 500 opinions across every stage of litigation—including in numerous labor and employment actions.
Tanner graduated from the University of Oregon School of Law, where he was an editor for the Oregon Law Review. He earned his undergraduate degree in business administration from the University of Puget Sound.
Tanner is admitted to practice in Oregon and before the U.S. District Court for the District of Oregon.
