Whitney Brownlow

Whitney Brownlow is a shareholder with Ogletree Deakins. She is also a member of the Worldwide ERC Immigration Forum, a group of immigration leaders focused on driving solutions to improve legislation, regulations, and other government policies impacting U.S. immigration. Whitney’s practice focuses on providing strategic program management and developing innovative technology solutions for high volume immigration programs. She oversees all types of lawful permanent residence applications, including those based on labor certification (PERM), and on behalf of multinational managers and executives, outstanding professors, researchers, and aliens of extraordinary ability. She also directs the preparation of nonimmigrant visas, including H-1Bs, L-1s, TNs, E-3s, and O-1s.

Whitney has advised clients on various immigration challenges throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. She has obtained expedited employment authorization documents (EAD) and emergency visa appointments for employees responsible for researching and developing COVID-19 treatments and vaccines. She has also advised universities on new restrictions for F-1 students seeking to enter the U.S. to attend online courses.

Whitney received her Bachelor of Arts in English and philosophy from The Ohio State University, graduating magna cum laude, with honors. Whitney studied international comparative law at the University of Oxford in England and then earned her juris doctorate from The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law, where she served as managing editor of the Ohio State Journal on Dispute Resolution.
