Kyra H. Short

Kyra Short is an associate in the St. Louis office of Ogletree Deakins. Her practice is focused on advising and defending retail stores, restaurants, hotels, and other places of public accommodation in matters involving disability access under Title III of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Prior to joining Ogletree Deakins, Kyra represented businesses and hospitals in personal injury defense litigation. Kyra also represented the State of Missouri as a prosecutor in the Special Victims Unit of the St. Louis Circuit Attorney’s Office where she gained valuable first- and second-chair jury and bench trial experience.

Kyra received her B.S. in Business at Saint Louis University, and her J.D. at Saint Louis University School of Law. She also holds an M.A. in Legal Studies from Webster University. During law school, she interned at the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of Illinois where she assisted in obtaining a favorable jury-verdict in an employment discrimination suit against the U.S. Army.
