The State of New York has enacted a first-in-the-nation law mandating that employers provide 20 hours of paid leave per year as a standalone benefit for pregnant employees to obtain prenatal care. Senate Bill 8305C requires all private-sector employers, regardless of their size, to provide this benefit to eligible employees starting January 1, 2025.
