Ogletree Deakins Honored With Pfizer Diversity Award

ATLANTA – May 2, 2007 – On April 24, Ogletree Deakins was one of two firms in the country honored with the Pfizer Diversity Award. The award was given to Ogletree Deakins in recognition of its outstanding commitment to diversity and for providing a diverse team of attorneys to oversee Pfizer projects. The firm received the award at Pfizer’s inaugural P3 Diversity Summit, which took place at the company’s headquarters in New York City.

In addition to receiving the Pfizer Diversity Award, Ogletree Deakins has also received national media recognition for its commitment to the utilization of minority and women lawyers. The firm was ranked second nationally in the AmLaw 250 for its percentage of African American lawyers and was ranked number nine on the list of “Top 25 Law Firms for African Americans” in the 2005 edition of Multicultural Law magazine. Ogletree Deakins was also credited with having one of the best African American diversity records among law firms in the United States, according to USA Today, and was also ranked among the top 100 law firms nationwide in the Minority Law Journal’s 2006 Diversity Scorecard.
