Trina R. Le Riche Joins Ogletree Deakins’ Kansas City Office

KANSAS CITY, MO – August 3, 2009 – Ogletree, Deakins, Nash, Smoak & Stewart, P.C. (Ogletree Deakins), America’s third-largest labor and employment law firm, is pleased to announce that Trina R. Le Riche has joined its Kansas City office as a shareholder. Prior to joining Ogletree Deakins, Ms. Le Riche was a partner with Sonnenschein Nath & Rosenthal LLP in Kansas City. 

Ms. Le Riche concentrates her practice in the areas of labor and employment law.  Her employment litigation experience includes defending employers against claims of race, gender, disability and age discrimination, sexual harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, and wage and hour violations before federal and state courts and various administrative agencies.  Ms. Le Riche also has experience defending employers in collective and class-action matters.

Ms. Le Riche has successfully enforced restrictive covenants in state courts, and regularly drafts and counsels employers on enforcing such restrictive covenants.  She has extensive experience counseling clients in litigation avoidance, negotiating and drafting severance agreements, conducting on-site workplace investigations, and presenting training seminars. She frequently speaks to employers on avoiding workplace liability. 

In addition, Ms. Le Riche has extensive experience structuring large scale reductions in force, and other actions involving the WARN Act, as well as employment issues involving mergers, acquisitions, and the sale of businesses.  Ms. Le Riche has represented employers in numerous diverse industries and in almost all states.

Ms. Le Riche earned her B.S., magna cum laude, from the University of Missouri in 1994, and her law degree from the University of Missouri, Columbia School of Law, in 1997.
