Christie, who has practiced employment law for more than three decades, has been a successful pioneer in building Ogletree Deakins’ Toronto office, which opened in January 2016. Christie represents employers in all elements of employment law including pre-hiring through recruitment, drafting agreements, benefit plans and policies, discipline, promotion, succession planning, termination, and post-employment obligations. He also advises employers dealing with employment issues arising out of restructuring the workplace. Christie earned his LLB from Queen’s University and an LLM with a mark of distinction from the London School of Economics. Christie currently serves as co-chair of the Queen’s University Centre for Law in the Contemporary Workplace, the only center for labor and employment law at a Canadian law school.
