DALLAS – May 1, 2018 – Ogletree Deakins, one of the largest labor and employment law firms representing management, is pleased to welcome Marcus Brown as shareholder in the firm’s Dallas office. Brown joins the firm from Winstead, where he was a shareholder. He is Board Certified in Labor and Employment Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization.
Brown has more than a decade of experience in labor and employment law. He advises and represents in-house legal departments and human resources professionals in multi-national, national, and small businesses on issues including discrimination, claims under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) compliance, terminations, and wage and hour issues. He also drafts employment agreements, employment handbooks, and non-compete agreements, and conducts anti-harassment training programs.

Brown is active in his professional and local communities. He is a member of the National Employment Law Council and the State Bar of Texas’ Diversity in the Profession Committee. He also serves as vice chair of the Board of Directors for Mental Health America of Greater Dallas. Brown earned his J.D. from University of Virginia School of Law and his B.B.A. from Southern Methodist University.
