Ogletree Deakins Advances on The American Lawyer’s 2020 Diversity Scorecard

ATLANTA – May 29, 2020 – Ogletree Deakins, one of the largest labor and employment law firms representing management, is pleased to announce that the firm has risen seven spots on The American Lawyer’s 2020 Diversity Scorecard, an annual ranking of large U.S. law firms based on their percentage of minority attorneys and partners in U.S. offices.

The American Lawyer’s 2020 Diversity Scorecard records the average number of full-time-equivalent minority attorneys—Asian-American, African-American, Latino or Hispanic, Native American and self-described multiracial attorneys—at Am Law 200 and National Law Journal 250 law firms in the calendar year 2019. The list considers the percentage of minority attorneys in each firm, double-counting partners to emphasize the importance of promoting minority attorneys, and compiles the figures into a uniform score. Partner statistics include both equity and nonequity partners. Nonpartner figures include associates as well as special counsel, of counsel and other staff attorneys. The survey does not include contract attorneys.
