Patrick primarily focuses on employment law in which he regularly counsels clients on issues including employee hiring, discipline and discharge, as well as complying with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA), Age Discrimination in Employment Act (ADEA), Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), Pennsylvania Human Relations Act (PHRC), and other applicable state and federal employment laws. Patrick also routinely advocates on behalf of employers in both federal and state courts and before various administrative agencies including the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), Pennsylvania Human Relations Commission (PHRC), and the Unemployment Compensation Board of Review (UCBR). In addition to his advocacy and counseling, Patrick drafts a wide-array of employment agreements, policies and handbooks that not only ensure continued legal compliance, but are tailored to address the practical needs of his clients.
