Chief Administrative Officer

Ivan Sim serves as Chief Administrative Officer for Ogletree Deakins and in this role leads strategy and execution for key organizations and functions, including our Real Estate Portfolio Management, Project Management Office, Office Administration, Procurement, and Sustainability. Collaborating with firm leaders with an emphasis on continuous improvement for effective and efficient operations, he helps all levels do their best work. He is also a member of the firm’s Technology Strategy Committee, leads and manages enterprise Capital Budgeting, and contributes to other firm initiatives.

Ivan is often considered a “jack of many trades,” not having come from what may be more traditional and linear paths, but performed in leadership roles in industries spanning Hospitality (Hotel and Restaurant), Professional Services, Manufacturing and Distribution, and Utility. With his extensive experience both domestically and internationally, he leverages his broad experiences to bring tremendous value to organizations. Over his career, he has served on a number of external boards and association committees, and spoken on panels in a variety of subject matters.

Ivan earned his Bachelor of Science from the University of Hawaii and his Masters of Business Administration from Boise State University. He also has held numerous industry certifications such as Six Sigma, Certified ScrumMaster, Certified Facilities Manager, and others as he continues to “sharpen his saw” as a life-long learner.
