Once again, just as frustrated employers are beginning to think they might understand the California Division of Occupational Safety and Health’s (Cal/OSHA) COVID-19 workplace regulations, the agency changes course. On June 9, 2021, Cal/OSHA revoked the new COVID-19 Emergency Temporary Standards that the Occupational Safety and Health Standards Board approved on June 3, 2021. Cal/OSHA has stated that the agency will issue new proposed COVID-19 regulations on Friday, June 11, 2021, with a Standards Board vote to follow the next week. In this webinar, the speakers will review Cal/OSHA’s June 11 COVID-19 regulations, explain how this proposed version differs from the November 30, 2020, regulations, and provide guidance on important health and safety issues, including face coverings, vaccination documentation, and notice of exposure.
