Christopher Reilly is an associate attorney in Ogletree’s San Diego and Washington, D.C. offices. As a litigator, he has successfully defended employers of all sizes against wage and hour, harassment, retaliation, discrimination, and wrongful termination claims. Whether in state court, federal court, or arbitration, Christopher customizes his litigation strategy to meet the individual goals of each of his clients from inception through trial.
Christopher also provides day-to-day advice and counsel on a variety of employment issues to multiple Fortune 100, Fortune 500, and other publicly traded companies, as well as neighborhood small businesses. While counseling his clients on how to remain complaint with the ever-changing landscape of state and federal employment laws, Christopher puts a strong emphasis on being responsive and engaging, and approaching each issue pragmatically and efficiently. Christopher collaborates with entrepreneurs, in-house counsel, C-Suite executives, and HR professionals to develop best practices and a positive work environment, and put his clients in the best position possible to avoid the burden of costly and unnecessary litigation.
In 2022 and 2023, Christopher was recognized as a member of the National Black Lawyers “Top 40 Under 40.” He is an active member of the District of Columbia Bar and the California State Bar. He is also licensed to practice before the Northern, Central, Eastern, and Southern District Courts of California.
Christopher is a New York native and former NCAA Division I wrestler. He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Maryland, College Park, while competing for the Terrapins in the ACC and Big Ten Conferences. At Thomas Jefferson School of Law, Christopher served as the Student Bar Association President, an Associate Editor for the Thomas Jefferson Law Review, and a member of the Mock Trial team.
Besides ensuring that his clients’ needs are met, Christopher enjoys traveling, wine tasting, and trying to mimic recipes from various food channels. He also values the importance of quality time with family and friends for both himself and others.
