Katie is a trusted advocate for employers—from emerging companies to national brands—including national retailers, staffing companies, restaurants, higher education, logistics, and construction. She defends high-exposure employment suits alleging discrimination, harassment, retaliation (including Labor Code § 1102.5), wrongful termination, sexual assault, and wage-and-hour violations in state and federal courts and before administrative agencies. Clients value her practical, business-focused strategy: she drives outcomes through early case assessment, targeted discovery, and rigorous trial preparation, and she positions for dispositive motions, or trial to advances their goals. Katie’s results include multiple defense wins, such as summary judgments on complex disability discrimination and whistleblower claims and the successful elimination of Equal Pay Act and PAGA claims in arbitration. She is known for her tenacious and unwavering advocacy to meet client objectives.
Katie earned her J.D. from the University of San Diego School of Law, where she served on the San Diego Law Review and received a CALI Award for highest marks in Legal Writing. She holds a B.A. in Political Science and International Relations from the University of California, San Diego. A former captain and MVP of the UC San Diego Women’s Tennis Team, Katie remains an avid tennis fan and regular attendee of the Indian Wells Open.
